Wetlands International is currently working on two publications which will come out later this year.
We are looking for high quality photographic images for inclusion in these reports. For one publication the scope is global and colour images will be used. The second publication covers
Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia, and we are looking for images suitable for black-and-white reproduction. We are, unfortunately, unable to pay photographers for any material used, but a free copy of the publication(s) will be sent to any photographer whose work is used.

DETAILS OF THE PUBLICATIONS
1. 'Waterbird Population Estimates third edition' Colour slides, photos or digital images of any of the world's waterbird species are urgently sought. Images depicting large numbers of birds will
be particularly relevant, and those of unusual species or taxa will be especially welcome.
2. 'Results from the International Waterbird Census in the Western Palearctic and Southwest Asia, 1997, 1998 and 1999' Colour slides, photos or digital images suitable for black-and-white reproduction and coming from the region described in the title of the publication are urgently sought. Images of any of the waterbird species found in this region, of habitats where they occur, or of waterbird
counting activity will be very welcome.

DETAILS OF THE REQUEST
If you have high quality colour transparencies, photographic prints or high-resolution digital images appropriate for use in these publications, please send them to Simon Delany or Niels Gilissen at Wetlands
International headquarters in The Netherlands (address below). Images should be suitable for reproduction at a size up to 12 x 18 cm (300 dpi for digital images).
A credit will be printed alongside each photo, photographers will be fully acknowledged and will be sent free copies of the publication in which their work appears. We will diligently look after all material sent to us, and will return it as soon as possible, but we will be unable to bear
responsibility for loss or damage in transit or at the printer.
Families included as waterbirds are as follows: Divers, Grebes, Pelicans,
Cormorants, Darters, Herons & allies, Shoebill, Hammerkop, Storks, Ibises,
Spoonbills, Flamingos, Screamers, Ducks, Geese, Swans, Plains Wanderer, Cranes, Limpkin, Rails & allies, Finfeet, Sunbittern, Jacanas, Painted Snipes, Crab Plover, Oystercatchers, Ibisbill, Stilts & Avocets, Thickknees, Pratincoles, Plovers & Lapwings, Sandpipers & allies, Seedsnipes, Gulls, Terns, Skimmers.

We very much look forward to receiving your images. Please forward this message to anybody you think might be interested, and do not hesitate to contact us if you need further details
